Location: Salem, OR

Job Type: Full and Part Time

Wage Range: $25 to $50 an hour

Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on diesel engines, including but not limited to fuel systems, electrical systems, cooling systems, and emissions control systems.
  • Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks.
  • Use diagnostic equipment and tools to identify and resolve mechanical issues efficiently.
  • Disassemble and reassemble engines and components as necessary for repair or replacement.
  • Ensure all repairs are performed according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
  • Document all work performed, including parts used, labor hours, and diagnostics findings.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and adhere to safety protocols at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding repair recommendations, timelines, and cost estimates.

Qualifications:

  • Technical knowledge of diesel vehicles and equipment systems.
  • Experience working on diesel-powered vehicles and equipment.
  • Ability to learn and use scan tool equipment for diagnosis and repair.
  • Strong judgment and decision-making skills with attention to detail.
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with management and co-workers.

Additional Qualifications Desired:

  • Current CDL.
  • Prior ASE Training or Certification.
  • Welding and Fabrication Skills/Experience.
